Our travel advisor, Marianne, on a FAMTOUR at Nature nature !
Marianne, our Toundra travel advisor, went to discover the Nature Nature accommodations during a FAMTOUR in Mauricie!
Mauricie is a very touristic region with beautiful landscapes and a national park. It’s an invitation to nature, to charge your batteries and to discover Quebec! These unusual accommodations, such as micro-huts, chalets, wilderness or traditional camping, meet all the criteria for travelers looking for an independent trip close to nature.
Being off the grid, back to basics and discoveries, that’s Marianne’s feelings and her opinion on these accommodations that she discovered:

1. What did you like most about Nature Nature?
The quality and the location of the lodging.
We were able to discover the micro-huts for 2 to 4 people and 2 to 6 people. The accommodations have been refurbished and decorated in a modern style, which is really nice! Everything is minimalist, well thought, new, it’s a real breath of fresh air compared to the more traditional accommodations we are used to in Mauricie.
Moreover, Nature Nature is extremely close to the Mauricie National Park and the St Maurice River is right next to it! This gives a beautiful and peaceful setting which is a real plus when you want to visit and spend a few days there!

2. How would you advise agencies to sell this product?
Focus on the proximity to Mauricie National Park.
I would advise them to offer these accommodations as off the beaten track and an ecological and budgetary alternative to traditional hotels within walking distance of the park! I would also advise to bet on the accent put on minimalism, independence of the traveler and nature, which is an important point in 2023 in my opinion!
It is also important to be transparent with the togetherness of the accommodations. Whether it is by their size which mean that the spaces of common life and sleep are not separated, which can be disturbing for some travelers. Nor the direct adjency with the campers site, van or camping car which are next to the lodgings.

3. According to you, what type of customers is this accommodation for?
Adults without young children, couples or friends.
A family with small children could quickly feel cramped due to the layout of the lodgings and their small size. Children often need to move around and run around and the units do not really allow for this.
I would offer them to couples, families with older children or small groups who want to be able to do activities while visiting the Mauricie Park and who wish to be lost in nature while remaining autonomous (mainly for cooking for example).

4. The argument for Nature Nature
The comfort of the accommodations and the location are definitely their strongest points!
Indeed, the lodgings are a real little home point considering the services they offer: kitchen, comfortable bedding, shower, etc. as well as their design even if they may seem a little bit small for some travelers.
The location is also a must. Nature Nature is located at the gateway to the Mauricie region, which is ideal for travelers wishing to visit the park. Moreover, a micro-brewery and a grocery store are located on the site, which let the customers enjoy small pleasures even when they are far from the cities!

5. Your general opinion
The Nature Nature concept is great and we can’t wait to see it develop and mature even more!
I think they have a real future in tourism and their accommodations are innovative and their location is astonishing. Plus, they are environmentally conscious, which is very much appreciated by Toundra and by travelers these days!
