In 2026, Toundrigo group and its brands—Toundra Voyages, Receptour Canada, Windigo Aventure and Think Incentive—were recognized for their ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability principles into their day-to-day operations. This recognition marks a major milestone, as Toundrigo became the first North American DMC to earn Travelife certification.
The Travelife certification, awarded following a comprehensive independent on-site audit, recognizes our excellence in social and environmental sustainability. We comply with more than 200 criteria related to sustainability management, office operations, working with suppliers, and customer communication.
At Toundrigo, sustainability is more than a goal—it is a commitment deeply embedded in the way we do business. In 2019, we created the ToundrigoCare committee to implement meaningful and responsible sustainable practices across all our operations. Driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact, we embarked on the Travelife certification journey, aligning our activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and adapting them to the realities of the tourism industry.
How does Travelife Certification work?
Travelife is a three-stage certification programme for travel agencies:
- Travelife Engaged – the first stage of the programme
- Travelife Partner – the second level of recognition
- Travelife Certified – the highest level of certification (ours)
The audit confirms that our sustainability management system and responsible practices have been effectively implemented throughout the organisation and meet the requirements of the Travelife Certified Standard.
To maintain this certification, our company is recertified every two years, ensuring that we continue to meet the required standards.
For more information about the Travelife programme, its different recognition levels, the validity of our Travelife Certified recognition, the assessment process and the publicly available Travelife criteria, visit the Travelife consumer website.

Our everyday sustainable initiatives

In our office based in Montreal, waste sorting, paperless practices and volunteering initiatives are just a few examples of the measures we have implemented with our teams.
When it comes to our tourism offering for your clients, Toundra Voyages is part of an ecosystem of organisations actively working towards the tourism of tomorrow, including Tourisme Durable Québec, ARF Québec and Carbone Boréal.
We also work closely with local partners. The goal? To support local economies and communities by promoting authentic partners with strong ties to their communities and territories.
At Toundra we are committed to offering travellers more responsible stays in North America through a distinctive selection of accommodations and activities.
We are very proud of this certification, which reflects our commitment to responsible tourism, continuous improvement and the creation of meaningful travel experiences that benefit travellers, local communities and the environments in which we operate.
Our sustainable travel collection in Canada and the USA
Travelling through Colorado aboard a scenic train, sharing a traditional meal with the Navajo people, discovering Central Park by bike… our collection is regularly enriched with new experiences designed alongside committed local partners. Genuine experiences that resonate with our increasingly authenticity- and purpose-driven clientele.
At Toundra, every experience is tested, validated and regularly reassessed by our local teams to ensure quality and consistency. As a result, our catalogue reflects our year-round commitment to more responsible tourism through our sustainable travel itineraries across North America.
